As an immigrant myself, I know the challenges that one faces when they are new in a country, and a job. My name is Darlene Desir and I am one of the partners at Integrated Healthcare Recruiters, LLP. I was born in Florida and raised in Haiti. At 15 years old, I arrived in New Jersey in April of 1994, confused as to why I had to leave my friends and family to start fresh.
It was a cold day for my Carribean self. I enrolled in High School a few days later and felt lonely for the next two years. Upon graduation I continued my studies at Bloomfield College and my college advisors introduced me to Laboratory Science. I completed the MLS program at Rutgers University-School of Health-Related Professions. It was challenging and stressful, but I persevered. I graduated and have been in the Clinical Lab field for over 20 years. In 2013, I continued my studies and earned an MBA at Nova Southeastern University.
I have a passion for learning. Besides these accomplishments, I am most proud to be the mother of a young gentleman, a sister, an aunt and Godmother in 2020. I decided to expand my knowledge and added Real Estate in my portfolio. For leisure, I enjoy reading, dancing, laughing and learning with the company of my good friends.

Initially arriving on a working visa my dedication to commitment led me to attain American citizenship, which symbolizes my deep-rooted integration into the country’s healthcare landscape.
Beyond the professional journey of mine, I am a devoted mother to a teenager skillfully balancing my career as well as my duties as a homemaker.I find solace in the serene beauty of the beaches, often taking time to unwind by the shoreline with my family. But through the efforts of her parents, she was able to make her way to Manila (Capital of Philippines) and finished her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Far Eastern University. This is where her American journey as a Medical Technologist began.
